Zee’s yoga journey began as a personal lifeline. After the birth of her eldest son, she turned to Hatha yoga to help her through the postpartum blues, and what started as a search for relief became a lifelong love of the practice, its philosophy, and the deep connection it offered with her own body.
When she moved to Australia, Zee continued to deepen her practice, exploring the discipline of Ashtanga and the stillness of Yin. Life brought its share of upheaval: in 2014 her high-pressure professional role was made redundant, and she moved through the end of a 20-year marriage. During this time she discovered aerial yoga and fell in love all over again. She completed a 200-hour aerial yoga teacher training so she could practise safely on her own trapeze rig at home, and between 2015 and 2018 she shared that passion informally through one-to-one aerial sessions.
A move to Adelaide introduced her to hot yoga, which proved to be a game changer. After a year as a student, she completed a second 200-hour teacher training, and in 2019 began teaching two to three hot yoga classes a week at Peak Physique. When COVID closed studio doors, she kept the practice alive online, teaching colleagues in lockdown in Sydney and Melbourne. In 2021/22 she added 50 hours of Yin training. Since 2022 she has been a regular teacher of hot, vinyasa and Yin yoga, first at Peak Physique and now at Vata Studios.
Zee continues to broaden her knowledge. Her training in trauma-informed yoga and chair yoga brings her total to more than 500 hours of yoga training across multiple styles. She is also a certified hypnotherapist, acupressure practitioner and breathwork facilitator, and is currently completing her functional health certification.
Zee brings a medical background and more than 25 years of experience in medicine and clinical research to her teaching. That foundation gives her an evidence-informed perspective, and she is passionate about sharing the research on how yoga, breathwork, acupressure and related modalities affect the mind and body. She wants her students and clients to understand not only what they are practising, but why it matters.
Bringing these threads together, she recently launched Harmoni3, her wellness business supporting people to take a holistic approach to their health. Whatever a client’s health concern, yoga plays a central role in every plan she creates.
At the heart of her work is a simple belief: every person has an innate ability to heal, grow and expand. Zee loves helping her clients and students discover that ability for themselves, supporting them to live fully and holistically, in optimal health for their own unique body and constitution.
In 2025 she experienced her first yoga retreat, a magical immersion in yoga and its related healing modalities. She now looks forward to creating and contributing to experiences like it for others, whether as a practitioner, a guide or a fellow student.
