Annie has has over 16 years of working in mental health with Beyond Blue and in her own private counseling practice, specialising in anxiety, depression and trauma management. Her work has taken her overseas working in humanitarian contexts such as Sudan, East Timor, Indonesia and parts of South East Asia as a staff counsellor and child protection specialist for the UN and other NGO’s.
IN 2008, Annie travelled to India to complete her Diploma of Raja Yoga (School of Santhi India). In her classes Annie shares the benefits of her training and daily practice, teaching vinyasa sequences using traditional breathing techniques, mudras, mythology and story telling to encourage joy in movement, flow and asana exploration.
Annie will run two classes at the festival and will be accompanied by Cailtin North, a local, eclectic, soulful musician from Bendigo. It is truly an experience not to be missed.
Living between Bendigo and the Northern Rivers Region of NSW, Annie contributes regularly to the Starlight Yoga Festivals.
